Welcome to Surf Pines
Surf Pines is a gated community, located on the northern Oregon Coast between Warrenton and Gearhart, near Astoria and Seaside. Surf Pines is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west and Sunset Lake on the east. Two gated entrances provide access to Surf Pines, one at Surf Pines Lane on Highway 101 north of Gearhart and one near Sunset Lane on Highway 101 south of Astoria and Warrenton. The rural setting of Surf Pines abounds in natural beauty for its residents and local wildlife, such as elk, deer, pheasants, sea gulls, and eagles.
Surf Pines has 350+ homes and many undeveloped lots. Some residents are summer and holiday residents and others are year round residents. Some lots are 1/3 to 1/4 of an acre, many lots are an acre, and a few lots are several acres.
Our family explored the Oregon Coast from Astoria to Brookings before falling in love with the Surf Pines Community and its beautiful lakefront setting. We knew we had found more than a place to build a home—we had found a place to return to, rejuvenate, and create lifelong memories.
Around 2003, we built our dream lake house and raised our children here during a simpler time, with far fewer amenities than we offer today. What mattered most was time together: playing outdoors, enjoying the lake, sharing meals, and discovering the beauty of the Oregon Coast with family and friends.
In 2010, we opened our home so other families could experience that same sense of connection. This is more than a typical vacation rental—it is a much-loved family home where you can step away from everyday demands, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy the people who matter most.

Fantastic house in a great location! The house was large, clean, and well furnished and appointed. The location on the lake was beautiful, with many types of boats provided to enjoy it. The owners were very responsive to all communication. We will certainly be returning to this property.

We had an awesome stay! We used almost all the amenities provided. Loved being right by the river. Our family only wanted to do short day trips so we could go back to the house and enjoy all the activities. We cooked dinner all three nights there, relaxed in the jacuzzi and sauna, went fishing (caught and released one fish), went on the boat, paddle boat, canoe, SUP and watched the Goonies movie as we visited the Goonies’ house. We used all cooking appliances including smoker, pizza oven, grill, popcorn maker, rice cooker and crock pot. Mo was even so generous and said we could enjoy a couple bottles of wine and had a basket full of snacks that we all enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this place and would love staying here again.

After scrambling with a last minute change from another Airbnb, Mo helped us very quickly and allowed us early check-in. He was very quick to respond and helpful. Definitely would stay again!
